We have visited Thailand for the second time; this time mainly the south, 3.5 weeks.
With Khiritravel everything was fine, pickups on time and good guides, especially Koi. Our earlier experience in Cambodia 2 years ago was the same.

I am pleased to tell you that I enjoyed the trip very much. I was very pleased with how smoothly everything went. It actually worked out very well having local guides at each destination instead of having one "national" guide for the entire time. Upon arrival at each place the local guide was there to take care of all details.

I loved the trekking in Laos!! It was very authentic and the people were wonderful. They were very friendly and always glad for their picture to be taken. They seemed to enjoy me being there. The trekking in Laos was definitely one of the highlights. It was nice to work my way through southern Laos down to Khong Island. The waterfalls and scenery were very nice. Cambodia was also great. I had a good welcome to Cambodia in Stung Treng. I loved Stung Treng!! Wish I had had one more day there. The trekking in Cambodia was also very good. It was very authentic, non-touristy. The ethnic people I encountered on the trek in Cambodia were not as friendly and welcoming as the ones in Laos. (The village people in Laos spoiled me!!)**They were fine...just not as comfortable with tourists being there perhaps as the ones*in Laos. It was still a great experience because of the remote location and the*unspoiled atmosphere of it. I made my way on to Sen Monorom. This was a great place. I loved the waterfalls around Sen Monorom. There was one (I can't think of the name right now) was really spectacular. It was actually two falls. We hiked to the bottom of the lower falls, having to hold on to*bamboo it was so steep and slippery!! I made my way on to Phnom Penh....rough roads in and out of Sen Monorom....It was great to get to pavement finally!!

We have visited Thailand for the second time. This time we went to the south. Again it was a wonderful experience. The tours, the landscape, the food and the people were great. All hotel reservations, train tickets, the Kanchanaburi tour and the various meetings with drivers arranged by Khiri (especially Kiki) worked out very well.

We like to thank you for your help and your suggestions that made our holiday to a success.

I just returned from Chiangrai Airport where I had said goodbye to the group, because myself, as you know, will stay in the North for some time more. I just can say that everything went smoothly and I have the feeling that all of the group had a wonderful time here, also because of the great support we enjoyed from you and the whole Khiri team! May you please also forward our many thanks to everybody else involved.

Also for the cancellation activities I just can thank you sincerely, the more that again again we caused some extra effort and time for you, what I indeed regret. On tour, we had already noticed your prompt and reliable action from the namelists of the hotels.

Although some days late, please accept my "sawatdii pii mai". May the year bring you good luck in every way. Anyway I am sure that we will continue cooperating as perfectly as until now, and this is already a good start.

We are writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent trip to Thailand and Cambodia. All of our guides, which were arranged by Asia Transpacific Journeys through Khiri, were fabulous. Pang, O, Sothea and our guide in Phenom Penh were so knowledgeable and patient that we were sorry to see them go. In particular, we came to view O and Sothea as friends - they both went out of our way to make us feel welcomed. O took us to his monestary in Chang Mai and Sothea was incredable knowledgeable about Angkor What and the srroudning environs.

Three cheers for all of our guides and thank you very much.

We have visited South East Asia twice in the last three years, travelling a total of two months to Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. We had the good fortune to find Khiri Travel who arranged our independent trip. Because of Khiri we had an amazing and life changing journey. In preparing the travel arrangements Frans and Willem took the time to consider our individual needs and budget, and tailor a trip that provided us with a experience of Southeast Asia that was unique, personal and a deep cultural experience. We can't say enough positive things about all of the Khiri staff and guides and highly recommend Khiri Travel for a group or independent tour.

We got back today. Everything went very well and we enjoyed the trip immensely. The service was excellent, the accommodations outstanding, and the program enjoyable. The tourist hosts you arranged were informative and well organized. Luang Prabang was a surprise as we were there on the Lao New Year so we got soaked and covered with flour, or whatever it was, but we really did enjoy it and actually ventured across the Mekong (with what seemed like 1000s of locals) on New Years Eve. Just a couple of personal observations. I would have enjoyed more time for the Palace in Bangkok before the river trip and there were a couple of other places we would have enjoyed a bit more time but all in all the balance was good. Though I was probably in the minority, I would have enjoyed maybe breaking up the bus trip from Sapa to Hanoi into a couple of longish half days with time to stop and enjoy the scenery--if there was a reasonable place to stay in route.
Anyway, thanks again and we'll clearly recommend you to others.

I don't know which of you two guys was responsible for organizing this last holiday in Thailand and Cambodia for us, but will the chief organizer please step forward and accept full responsibility for one of the best organized, smoothest run and exciting vacations we have ever had the pleasure of returning exhausted from.
I thought your comments about the border crossing at Anlong Veng as being a bit of an adventure were a bit over the top, now I've done it I take those words back, you understated the situation if anything, however I thought your organizing of a heavy rain storm on the top of the mountain a bit over done, I assume that you organized it I know I didn't.
Your driver was an excellent choice, being both a good driver and good company and I have nothing but praise for your Cambodian driver and guide both of whom did an excellent job.
OK I could go on for hours, but I won't, just let me say guys this year you surpassed yourselves.

We are back home in the States, but still not back on a normal sleep cycle.
Before too much time elapses, we wanted to send a note expressing our deep appreciation for all the work you did to make our trip such a wonderful experience. It was most reassuring that the plans you laid out on paper were executed so consistently - and so well - by the guides and drivers. Also, the hotels were very satisfactory and were in great locations.
We hope to return to Vietnam and spend some time in the Central Highlands - as well as revisit some of the areas we visited this time. We won't hesitate to contact you when the time comes to arrange this next trip. In the meantime, if you visit Seattle we'll look forward to seeing you.
